Family Affair

Today is probably the first post in a long time with no pictures.

Church was business as usual, although sitting at St.Mary's Chapel had me watching all the other Catholics go about their prayers. I can't believe the number of candles each person uses. Catholics have got to be the highest number of candle users out there.

Watching the wax splash across the floor was fascinating. Needless to say, I was not paying attention to the mass.

The Boy ushered me out right after Communion into the cold. I assumed he thought we might be late for lunch with his Granduncle and Grandaunt. So I walked quickly to the car park to get away from the cold frosty air.

I turned around, and 'lo and behold, the Boy had walked on ahead of me to Melbourne Central, laughing silently at my presumption. I caught up with him and was treated with Double Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies from Mr. Amos. How could I be angry?

Lunch was to be at Doncaster at the Golden Dragon Palace. Sounded spectacular, and I didn't have much expectations for the yumcha as I've been to many that have claimed to be good here in Melbourne.

Boy was I amazed!!! I don't really want to talk it up as I don't want there to be a crowd the next time I stop by. However, credit has to be given where credit is due.
They have the best "Wu Kok" (Deep fried crispy yam pork dumplings) that I've had in a very long time.

I was ecstatic.

Unplanned trips to Westfield Doncaster and Chadstone (for Myer's best sale ever. I have to admit, the sales were as good as the 1st year of uni. It has been a looong time! Go Economic Crisis!!!) had to be the icing on the cake. Or so I thought to myself.

A further grocery shopping trip and first encounter with a new Japanese Cafe in our little shopping street, Shyun (Carnegie) had us eating the best Takoyaki (Octopus Dumpling) in a long time.

I love long weekends!!!
