Woo Pin Fish Head Noodle Soup @ Taman Desa, Malaysia

When I was last back in KL (in January)... my Madam Mummy said to me, "YOU have to try these noodles.. they are fantastic!!"

And so I made her (she willingly drove) take me there to get some Fish Head Noodles...

When we got there (around 11am) the place was already starting to fill up...

Apparently this is a branch of their famous original stall in Cheras (don't ask me how to get there)...

It was a nice day for both mother and daughter to catch up and gossip and make up stories about the people around us... silly girly day...

For drinks, we ordered a soya bean, bean curd skin and barley drink (not a big fan of traditional dessert drinks) and it was delicious! A real fantastic match to the horribly hot and humid weather of Malaysia...

When the food was brought to the table, I gasp in amazement as it was a HUGE bowl... quite unlike the serving sizes you would normally find in Asia...

The fish was crispy and crunchy (not all of it is the fish head, you get options of just having the fish ^_^) and the soup was a delicate mix of evaporated milk and soup stock...

My mouth waters as I think about it now... I wish I had more time to go and keep eating this dish over and over.. but as I live in Australia.. it's a bit hard to commute :P

*Disclaimer: All food ratings are purely based on my own experiences and how I feel about the service, food and quality

Food/ Cuisine: Hawker style Malaysian/Chinese

Overall Food Rating (Based on the Dining style): 8.5/10

Address:
Woo Pin Fish Head Noodles @ Ho A One Seafood Steamboat Restaurant (opposite S.K.Danau Perdana)
Woo Pin Fish Head Noodle
Jalan 1/109F, Taman Danau Desa,
Kuala Lumpur

It's actually not that complicated to get there if you know the area... and it's on Google Maps... however, the school that is mentioned is not an actual school that's being used. It's more like an abandoned brand new pink building which nobody wants to use...

Woo Pin is open from
7.30am – 2.30pm daily
(closed alternate Mondays)
