Love Like Winter Part VI
Now to desserts...
We were just planning to have 1 dessert, but the Boy panicked and made me do an extra one for "Just in case"... in case his didn't turn out... (BUT, if you look at the picture above... it did turn out!)
I got to make Chocolate Trifle!!
All you need is a chocolate Swiss (Sponge) roll or chocolate rollettes, half a block of cooking chocolate, half a cup (150ml) of thick cream, frozen berries, and alcohol (I used Kahlua)
Line the base of the glass with the Swiss roll, making sure that the whole based is covered
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Kahlua into each of the glasses and allow it to soak
Place the berries on top of the base
Heat up the chocolate by boiling hot water and allowing it to melt in a heat proof bowl
Whip the cream (I just did in by hand) and fold in the hot chocolate mixture and stir thoroughly
Place a dollop of the chocolate cream into each glass and serve with a sprig of mint and a slice of strawberry!
Absolutely divine!
