Papa Gino's @ Lygon Street, Carlton

Laughter and fairy tales...

Sounds of giggles and "OMG"... "are you serious?"....

and.... lots of lub lub... "I lub chew!!!!".... sayang sayang...

More than 20 years we have been friends and now our other halves join us for our madness... fun... No?

We decided to take the tourists to Lygon... Melbourne's famed little Italian street...

We went to Papa Gino's... many an Asian student haunt... back in the days and now... (I feel old)...

Started off by toasting with this late harvest fruity wine... I love Riesling!!

My Chicken Spinach Penne...

"Pollo e Spinaci - chicken & spinach in tomato & cream sauce"

The BFF's pasta

"Amatriciana - bacon in a spicy tomato & cream sauce"

Ms. Tinymouse's Humongous Salad

"Chicken - strips of grilled chicken served with a combination of salads"

Tinymouse Boy's Pasta

"Saltati - diced ham & garlic in Bolognese sauce"

My Boy's Aussie Pizza

"Aussie Pizza - Tomato, mozzarella cheese, ham, bacon & egg"

The BFF Boy's pizza

"American Style - Tomato, mozzarella cheese, ham, hot salami"

All in all... a great warm meal... same as every other time that I've been there in the past 7 years or so...

Delicious, filling and authentic....

  1. This is a great post! Would you be interested in seeing your work about local places syndicated on local news blogs? See Carlton for example. Over 150 local bloggers are already contributing. There’s no advertising and no exploitation of your content - just a convenient way for local people to read local news. To contribute please add suburb categories, tags or labels to all of your relevant posts, such as ‘Fitzroy’, ‘Brunswick’, etc and let me know you’ve done this. RSS feeds for these tags are created and added to the local news sites. You should find that syndication brings more traffic to your blog and more comments from readers!
