Me wants some Banana Bread... *ROAR*
So anyways, yes, I wanted some Banana Bread and I refused to pay $3.50 for a slice of Banana Bread... so what's the next best thing?
You're right... bake the bloody thing myself... Woot!!
I got the recipe off, www.taste.com.au and it was really easy to follow.. (THANK GOD!)
Ze Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups of self raising flour
1/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2/3 cups of brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup of skim milk (I used full cream)
2 eggs, lightly whisked
50g melted butter
2 overriped bananas, mashed
I also, because I like nuts, added almonds into the recipe as well as a dash of Nutmeg (just because I like to modify)
Sift the flour and cinnamon into a large mixing bowl...
Mash the banana (with a fork) and add in the milk and eggs
Make sure you preheat the oven to 180 degrees, and also grease the pan.
Line the pan with baking paper as well.
Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
Add in the almond bits and stir through again.
Spoon it all into the prepared pan and smooth the surface
After 45 minutes!! Ta-Dah!!!
I checked by inserting a skewer in the centre. It came out clean, so yayy!!
Transfer onto a plate and serve!!
